Welcome to our own Island home named “Bon Villa” - meaning “Good Home” in French. Our recently built multi-use facility and beautifully landscaped gardens are located on Plash Island and the shores of the emerald waters of Mobile Bay and Bon Secour River in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
Bon Villa has ample parking, it’s own beach, with docks on the Bay and a canal. Our 600 sq. ft. multi-function room equipped with kitchenette opens to exotic landscaping with over fifty palm trees, sea sculptures, and 3000 sq. ft. of open deck and patio area overlooking the water.
Our customers have told us we have the best sunsets on the Island. You never know - at any moment you might catch the flight of a great blue heron - see a shrimp boat on it’s way to work - hear seagulls singing on the docks, or catch the dolphins gracefully dancing in our local waters.
We are a family owned business. Bon Villa is one location that offers two services. Sun Ray Cruises, a private boat charter for six passengers or less, and Weddings by the Bay - a complete wedding service including planning, rehearsals, ceremonies, and receptions. You have a choice of Beach or Bay Weddings. We can also host your special function such as a meeting or luncheon in our multi-function room. What ever your dream or event might be, you have our professional and personal guarantee, whether it’s a meeting or a luncheon, your wedding, or a surprise birthday party on one of our boats; we will make it a beautiful memory for you, your friends, and family to enjoy for many years to come. I came across your website and fell in love with it; however, I was skeptical because pictures are usually better on the web than in person. When Daniel and I came to look at Bon Villa in February to see it for ourselves we were thoroughly impressed. The pictures on the internet just don't do Bon Villa justice. We have enjoyed looking at and sharing the wedding pictures and remembering our week in Alabama. It was such a leap of faith finding a wedding site on the internet and planning a wedding from 1100 miles away, but everything was just perfect. Allison and Jonathan said the whole weekend was exactly what they had envisioned and both families expressed that it was the best wedding they had ever attended.
I told you I'd had nightmares that when we got there, it was a bait shack, but everything was even prettier than the pictures on the website. When we made our "dry run" before the wedding we were a little concerned about some of the property adjacent to yours as it seemed not to have recovered fully from storm damage, but once we were inside your gates all our concerns disappeared. The location was beautiful and none of the neighboring property was visible, even in the pictures.
